A great coach has a lot of great strategy in offense and in defense and Tara Vanderveer is a great coach that is known both in the offensive and defensive end of the floor. But when we talk about her offensive strategy, Tara Vanderveer implements the Triangle offense as her best weapon in the offensive end but she also uses zone offense depending what type of defense the opposing team is using so I could say that Tara Vanderveer is also a smart and versatile coach because she could always adjust to any given situation.

Zone offense is also a very effective offensive strategy and for sure it will be raining three point shots if that offensive strategy will be applied but then again, it depends to the defensive strategy that the opposing team is playing. Tara Vanderveer loves to read the defensive mindset of the opposing team and counter it with her great offensive strategy. She has been known to it and that’s why a lot of teams feared her team because of her great thinking. Zone offense is a great offense but then again it is only up to the execution of the players. Great coaches also need great players that respond well to any coaching strategy whether it is defense or offense. A coach only acts as a voice of the team but in the court, it is up to the player and to the point guard who is the voice in the floor of the game.

Tara Vanderveer achieved so many things in her career and as a fan of her I am hoping that she will still be able to continue the things that she is doing. In fact she just signed another contract extension from 2013 and it would mean not only a huge amount of salary for her but another opportunity to lead her team towards championship glory. It has been a long time since her team won an NCAA women’s basketball title and for sure she is very focused right now in giving her team another championship victory before she will retire from being the head coach of the Stanford University.
